Programs
Two programs, one standard of care.
My Brother's Keeper began as a national call to close persistent opportunity gaps for young men of color. In Fort Worth, that call turned into a daily practice: mentors who show up, follow up, and track what actually changes for a student — not just a single motivational visit.
My Sister's Keeper extends that same model to young women, because consistent, caring adult relationships matter regardless of who's asking for help.
MBK Connect is how we keep that consistency honest. Every conversation, referral, and milestone lives in one place, so a student's story doesn't depend on any one person's memory.
MBK - My Brother's Keeper
MBK - My Sister's Keeper
The same standard of consistent mentorship, built around the specific challenges young women in Fort Worth schools navigate — academically, socially, and at home.
Mentorship built on consistency, not one-time encouragement.
The Sisterhood Foundation
The Sisterhood Foundation, founded in 2022, empowers women and teen girls by addressing educational and social disparities in our communities. We provide mental health resources, emotional and spiritual support, and opportunities for growth through group sessions, workshops, and community events.Core Programs Snapshot

What we track for every student Attendance
Consistent presence is the first sign something is working.
Academics
Grades, credits, and progress toward graduation.
Behavior
Support before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
Community involvement
Leadership, service, and belonging beyond the classroom.
Every student does better with someone in their corner.
MBK Connect brings Fort Worth's My Brother's Keeper and My Sister's Keeper programs together with mentors, schools, and families — so no student's progress goes unnoticed.
Commit to showing up for one student, consistently, over time. All mentors complete training and a background check before being matched.
Educators, counselors, coaches, and parents can refer a student who could use a consistent mentor. A member of our team will follow up.
